Corrections

Challenge a classification.

If a classification, a narrative label or a source looks wrong, tell us. A reading is only worth trusting if it can be corrected in the open.

How to challenge a classification

Use the form below. Include the ticker, the classification you are questioning, what you believe is wrong, and any public link that supports your view. You do not need an account to report a problem.

How to report a questionable source

If a post or account attached to a record looks misattributed, out of context or wrongly included, use the same form and choose A source. Include the link and what is wrong with it.

What happens next

Each report is logged and checked against the evidence behind the classification. If a record changes as a result, the change shows on the record itself: its correction record names the earlier label, the new one, the date and the reason.

When the method itself changes, a new version ships and earlier records keep the version they were built under, as the Method explains.

The detailed policy is still being finalised: response times, the difference between a correction and a retraction, and how long correction records are kept. It will be published on this page.
